So what happened in New Hampshire?

Why were the polls so wrong about the primary results? To be fair they were mostly right in other respects but totally screwed the pooch on the Clinton vs Obama results. Here’s a quick round-up from a few of my regular stops in no particular order:
When a funny thing happens on the way to the nomination - The Carpetbagger Report
Making Sense of It - Talking Points Memo
Hillary’s Win - Political Animal
Clinton: “I listened . . . and found my own voice”- Firedoglake
Nobody knows anything - Paul Krugman
About New Hampshire… - The American Prospect
First Thoughts: Game on - First Read | MSNBC
HORSERACE - The Campaign Spot|NRO
That last one about Tweety is particularly odious, even for him. Here’s a couple of thoughts of my own, since nobody knows nuttin’ anyway.
- Economic issues are a beginning to trump health care as “the” domestic issue for this election cycle. Perhaps nostalgia for the economic success of the Clinton years pushed votes (deserved or not) her way.
- Clinton took women voters from Edwards, not Obama, perhaps because of his take on Hillary’s teary eyed moment.
- Obama still leads the democratic delegate count in New Hampshire and for the nation.
- The GOP leadership must be relieved that the Huckster took a nosedive in NH. They hate him and are afraid of what he means for the party.
