Waiting for September

So the report will come from the White House. All the pronouncements about following the recommendations of Gen. Petraeus are just more bullshit from the White House. Who wants to bet that the mainstream press will ignore that tiny little point when September rolls around? How long will the American people put up with being manipulated and lied to?

Despite Bush’s repeated statements that the report will reflect evaluations by Petraeus and Ryan Crocker, the U.S. ambassador to Iraq, administration officials said it would actually be written by the White House, with inputs from officials throughout the government.
