Same old, Same old

I haven’t posted much recently. Not that there aren’t things happening. Like the defense of lawlessness in the faux outrage involving Scooter Libby sentencing, the VP declaring himself above the law with his neither fish nor fowl argument. Or the cravenness of Congress and their inability to accomplish much of anything.
My reaction to all of this? Same old, same old. Of course the activities of the Bush administration and the GOP boggle the mind, but you can only be boggled so much. There’s a limit above which it all becomes so pedestrian, so banal that you just sort of sigh. I just hope that there’s something left when this criminal cabal finally leaves the White House. My wife is due to have a baby in August and I’m really afraid for my daughter and the future of this country.
