This is a bad idea. There are already laws on the book to deal with illegal workers. They should be going after the employers. If they’re aren’t any jobs, there won’t be many illegal immigrants. Building walls and fences and passing redundant local ordinances and state laws doesn’t add anything. If their so certain that local meat packing plants are hiring illegals, why not just call ICE?

Largely unenforceable and meaningless, but it’s red meat for the Good Old Boys and makes the locals feel like they can stave off the Reconquista for a while longer.
