McCain aides swipe back at Palin: “Her lack of fundamental understanding of some key issues was dramatic.”

It’s getting ugly over at “Team McCain”. I share the hope that Palin is the future of the GOP. If it’s really true then the future is a permanent minority, religious based party with some regional appeal in parts of the south and Unabomber country in the inter-mountain west. Good luck and god bless, it couldn’t happen to a more deserving bunch of guy and gals!

All snark aside, there is a real danger to not having a conservative right-center party in America to counter-balance the Democrats. This requires a level of intellectual honesty that is entirely lacking from the current GOP leadership. A “win at any cost” mentality coupled with astounding incompetence and cronyism is not a winning combination.
